Terms of Service

What this service is

PE Prep Engine provides study material for the NCEES Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) and Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exams: practice questions, worked solutions, flashcards, video lessons, and companion PDFs indexed to the NCEES Reference Handbook.

We are an independent study resource. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to NCEES in any way. NCEES publishes the exams and the reference handbook; we cite that handbook by section and page so you can find the source, and we do not reproduce or distribute it.

Your account

Give accurate information when you register, keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access to your account. You are responsible for activity that happens under it.

Accounts are for one person. Sharing an account, or sharing credentials so others can use the material without their own account, is not permitted.

During the beta, accounts may require an invite code, and we may limit or change availability as the product develops.

Acceptable use

Use the material to study. Do not scrape, bulk-download, republish, resell, or redistribute the question bank, the worked solutions, the videos, or the companion PDFs.

Do not use automated tools to access the site at a scale that degrades it for anyone else, and do not attempt to gain access to accounts, data, or systems that are not yours.

Content and ownership

The questions, solutions, videos, PDFs, and site software are owned by PE Prep Engine and are protected by copyright. Your account grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own exam preparation.

Downloadable PDFs are provided for your own study. You may print them for personal use. You may not distribute them.

Feedback you send us

If you report an error or send a suggestion, you allow us to use it to improve the product — including fixing the item you reported — without obligation or compensation. We will not publish your feedback in a way that identifies you.

Accuracy, and what this service does not promise

We work hard on correctness and cite the handbook so every claim can be checked. Even so, study material can contain errors, and exam specifications change. Always verify against the current official NCEES handbook and specifications, which are the only authorities on exam day.

Using this site does not guarantee that you will pass any exam. No study resource can make that promise, and we do not.

The service is provided as-is and as-available. During the beta in particular, features may change, break, or be withdrawn.

Price and payment

The service is currently provided free of charge. If paid plans are introduced, the terms and pricing will be presented before you are asked to pay, and no existing user will be charged without agreeing first.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PE Prep Engine is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including exam outcomes, lost study time, or lost opportunity.

Ending your use

You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time by emailing arathbun.pdm@gmail.com.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, particularly the redistribution and automated-access provisions.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. The effective date above will change, and material changes will be announced on the site. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
